Character with no Card

The content of your character is your choice. Day by day, what you do is who you become.
Heraclitus

535-475 BC (approximately), Philosopher

My friend Catherine, lost her job today. She walked into the space she has gone to every work day for 12 years, and found out that yesterday was her last day of work.

She will be amply compensated, that part is not the problem, but it was still a surprise and it still hurt. It was not personal, just a certain percentage of staff had to go she was told.

Catherine and I talked and she was quiet and contemplative. Tomorrow she would start her List, she said.

So my question to you is if today is your last day of work:
Who is the first person you would call and why?
What personal thing in your work space would you have to take (if anything)?
Who would you hug before you walked out the door?

If you lost your desk, your title and your business card who would You be? Does this scare you and why?

And if you're anything like Catherine, what would you put on your List for tomorrow?
