When the week is done
and your tie is askew; sleeves rolled up
return to your space and put on
some good walking shoes.
Head to that place you've seen
and search for all-things-roses
faded or cracked, dented or chipped.
Look up, move things
Look below, where no one else will dig.
And when you find it
what a treasure it will be!
Wrap it in the daily news
and tie it with some string
and on your next trip
please bring it carefully
to your friend back home.
