26.2 miles/42 km = Mickey Mouse
The half-marathon on Saturday followed by the full-marathon today is just plain Goofy.
Yesterday was my first half-marathon, and what a place to do it, walking and taking photographs through Disneyworld. Participants from 46 countries sharing the road together in their common goal of fitness, raising funds to support lymphoma and leukemia research.
I am so proud to have been a part of this event. Volunteers who danced, directed traffic, cheered you on and handed out band-aids, thank you, thank you, thank you. You share in our medals today.
To all the Goofy medal winners out there (especially my favorite guy), a big CONGRATULATIONS, you are awesome.
There's only one of you, but look how much we can accomplish together.
It is indeed, a small world after all.
