Writing about Nothing with Practise

It’s all about the practise. If you want to be a painter, you must paint. If you want to be a runner, you must run. If you want to be a yogi/yogini, get to class. If you want to be a writer, you must write.

What are you willing to do and what do you joyously look forward to do on a regular basis to become the new You?

We each have things we love to do. We might put aside time to do these things as a reward to ourselves at the end of a busy week. Or when we have a few "extra" minutes, we squeeze something we love in to give us some of this soul time.

I have a friend who specializes in slow-cooker meals. She has gathered a shelf-full of recipe books that she pours over often. She is our go-to person if one of us is searching out a slow-cooker meal. She has become an expert. She experiments, she tweaks, she shares her knowledge, she makes Magic.

I sometimes think that I have nothing to write about. And each time, I am wrong! When my fingers hit the keyboard or I am sitting with my companion journal, the words flow without censor. The reason for this is obvious, I love to write.

If you had a free morning, afternoon or evening, what would you choose to do with that space in time? It’s up to you, only you truly know what makes your heart sing. Only you know what you would rather not do, and realize that what you choose not to do is a reflection of you also.

If you rather not sit at a gathering with people you don’t like or respect, please don’t! You’ll not only be awarding yourself the gift of time to do something you’d rather be doing, but you’re giving them a gift too. Let that seat be filled with someone who has a passion for attending. So now that’s actually three gifts. Each one given the freedom to be with like-minded people or in solitude.

Keep painting, running, writing, cooking, teaching or whatever else makes your heart open with generosity. There is only one You, don’t deprive the world of what you have to offer. Keep practising this and let me know about the opportunities that start to materialize. Practise makes Magic.

Thanks to my friend G. for this beautiful pen, it gives me another reason to write.

Magic, power and genius

Each  indecision brings its own delays and days are lost lamenting over lost days... What you can do or think you can do, begin it. For boldness has magic, power, and genius in it.

The Kingdom of Magic

Setting a new goal, can start tomorrow or maybe next week.
Until then, let's savour and relish the journey you've taken to get to where you stand today.

Because starting each new goal, takes courage and sometimes you are just feeling your way in the dark.

but before you know it, you gain momentum, and Fireworks light your imagination.

There are like-minded on the same pathway, and you stay together because you all Believe!

And although, you might look different from each other....you really are all the same inside.

It might be difficult at times but you keep the faith as you are surrounded by "your people".

And the best part of all, is that you get encouragement from the most unexpected places.

Medals are FANTASTIC but may each day following also be full of Magic.

Start a Blog - check

So here I am on my first ever blog entry (is that what you call it?). Oh well, I will learn no doubt. A new adventure for me, and it's only the 4th of January.

Never at a loss for opinions, well goodgrief I am the expert of Me! am I not? I plan to talk about all kinds of Magic - magic that comes in photos I've snapped, books I've read, words I've been witness to and words I've put together in some kind of magical, poof! sort of way. And when you get to know me - I will even share about being single at 50+ and what its helped me discover about myself.

Cheers for today, but come back OK?
