Homeward Bound

We are all visitors to this time, this place.
We are just passing through.
Our purpose here is to observe,
to learn,
to grow,
to love…

And then we return home.

Australian Aborigine Proverb

Just for one day, let us try to live these words. Then maybe the next day they will come a little easier and each day thereafter they will begin to be a part of us.

We are not separate from each other. When did we learn to draw a line and put a division between each other? We look different, we talk and smell different. But inside, OH, inside we are all the same.

Hearts that beat faster at the sight of a loved one, hearts that hurt and break with sadness. Blood that spills, muscles that ache with toil, fear that courses our veins, joy that pumps our delight.

We have different faces and stories, jobs and goals, days that make us smile and cringe. Hands that give and others that clench, anger and love, frustration and sadly, things we hide.

And what we forget most often is that we have each other.

Today, reach out and let me know what happens.
